EMIRATO DE DAESH EN BANGLADESH/ DAESH emirate in Bangladesh

Bangladesh has suffered 45 attacks since 2015 by Daesh inspiration, although the government insists that the terrorist group is not a threat for the country.

This week, Daesh has accepted as part of the «Islamic State» a group of jihadists in the country of Bangladesh and has announced its new emirate in the latest issue of its magazine Dabiq as a plan to expand the Jihad into India. Sheik Abu Ibrahim al Hanafi presented himself as the emir, the leader of the terrorist group in Bangladesh, and he has promised the elimination of sects and the expansion of attacks to the infidels in order to restore the order in the country. The emir denounced local Muslims not understand the true Islam, to betray the true faith and the country by allying with India supporting it in intelligence matters.

Although the new «emirate» of Daesh in Bangladesh has few resources for  tactical operations, it has a strategic connection with the base of Daesh in Khorasan and it also could be strengthened in the future by the Rohingyas of Burma, long oppressed by the Buddhist majority. On the other hand, there is also a movement to implement Sharia inside India and Myanmar under the name of «International Lions Force of Hindustan».

Daesh already has a high presence in the Asian region of Pakistan and Afghanistan, and it is demonstrating its rapid expansion in the predominantly Muslim regions in Asia, although it is losing territory in Syria and Iraq, that could connect and unify their influence from North Africa to Southeast Asia.
